Seems so far away for now

As hot as it is today you can not help but think about fun things to do in when the weather gets colder and the first thing that comes to mind is snowboarding. There is a group of us that go each year and word is they are looking at the Lib Tech snowboards before we go this year. They are really good snowboards and they will enhance your performance when you need it the most and that is when you hit the banks. Some of the snowboarders looked really good last year until some more experienced snowboarders came along. At that point we saw where all we need to improve. We had some really amazing runs last year and everyone is hoping this year is even better. Even though for now we are snowboarding in our little minute mental vacations it will not be long before we are packing up our Burton Boots and our Burton Bindings and hitting the snow! As I see the smoke on the rising from the road from the last rain mixed with the heat held by the concrete the snow seems so far away for now, but the snow will come and we will be there.

Chinese New Year of the Tiger is on February 14 in the year 4707.

The Chinese believe that their first king of China was the Yellow King (he was not the first emperor of China). The Yellow King became king in 2697 B.C.(2697+2010 = 4707). China will enter their4707th year on February 4th, 2010. The Chinese Year uses the cycle of 60 Stem-Branch counting systems and the Metal Tiger is the 27th Stem-Branch in the cycle. Since (60 *78) + 27 = 4707, therefore 2010 is the Metal Tiger year, hence the 4707th Chinese Year. This is some very interesting stuff.

The formal Chinese Character of Tiger is , which is pronounced Hu. The formal Chinese Character of Metal is , which is pronounced Jin.

Chinese Calendar is a calendar that combines Solar, Lunar and the Stem-Branch cycles.

Every year my father gets a gift basket for Christmas from his family that is out of state. I have to say that this tradition is one of our favorite things about our family Christmas party. It brings everyone together from other states to our living room! We all gather around while he is opening his gift basket with the senders on the telephone listening in they hear him as he describes each thing in the basket. After we eat dinner and open the gifts we then get to enjoy his gift basket which is always full of cheese! It is delicious! This family tradition made me think that many of our friends and co-workers would also enjoy this tradition. For many of the people who seem to have everything or the ones that you will not be able to see for the holidays a gift baskets filled with cheeses from all over the world is the perfect gift. It is truly a gift that everyone will enjoy. I have found that it is fun to get a gift basket but it is also fun to send one. Everyone loves the rodeo. There is so much to see at these events. The talent and skills of the cowboys as well as some of the most beautiful and strong animals are on display for everyone to enjoy. If you are a rodeo fan you know there is one rodeo that stands out above the rest and that is the once a year Rodeo Houston event. Everyone can not wait on March to come. This is a full rodeo event with the best cowboys and cowgirls putting on a show that is like no other. Over one million people come each year to witness this event. You can sit along the sides in the first seven rows that are the action seats which come with complimentary food and drinks. After the rodeo there is a music concert. The music features either country, Latin or even hip hop music. The music artist are big name artist that come out on a stage so it does not matter where you sit for the concert you get a good seat. You can go online and buy Houston Rodeo concert tickets. It is so easy to buy your tickets ahead of time and online. Then all you have to do is look forward to the event.
