Over coming the difficult to shop for

My mother’s birthday is coming and we have began the shopping. She does not like a lot of what she calls “stuff”. She is one of those that says she wants nothing but us to come and have cake. She does not want anyone wasting their money on “stuff’. As you can imagine that makes her difficult to shop for because most things are stuff. The one thing that my wife and I know she will love is a watch. Particularly the watch that we found. We found a bulova watch that just looks like her and it is practical. I don’t know if she will enjoy the gift more or the fact that a watch is “something she can use”. Either way it is a beautiful watch and I guarantee you she will always wear it.

Hi, I’m very interested in Linux but Im a Super Newbie and I’m having trouble deciding on the right distribution for me (Havent you heard this a million times?) anyway here is my problem, I need a distribution that can switch between reading and writing in English and Japanese (Japanese Language Support) with out restarting the operating system.
