Has anyone done research to see how accurate it is???  I think the Chinese have spent over 4700 year working it out.

Chinese New Year of the Tiger is on February 14 in the year 4707.

The Chinese believe that their first king of China was the Yellow King (he was not the first emperor of China). The Yellow King became king in 2697 B.C.(2697+2010 = 4707).   China will enter their4707th year on February 4th, 2010.  The Chinese Year uses the cycle of 60 Stem-Branch counting systems and the Metal Tiger is the 27th Stem-Branch in the cycle. Since (60 *78) + 27 = 4707, therefore 2010 is the Metal Tiger year, hence the 4707th Chinese Year. This is some very interesting stuff.

The formal Chinese Character of Tiger is , which is pronounced Hu. The formal Chinese Character of Metal is , which is pronounced Jin.

Chinese Calendar is a calendar that combines Solar,  Lunar and the Stem-Branch cycles.
Chinese New Year uses the Chinese Lunar Calendar system.

Stem-Branch system is where we get the animal names.

The Tiger has the potential to become vigorous, ferocious and cruel. So the Tiger is a symbol of power and authority. This personality is good for leadership and has both inflexible and destructive personalities.
Tiger has very poor people relationship, especially, with family members.
In traditional customary, a Chinese family will not invite those born in year of Tiger to become apart of a private wedding ceremony.

We had a vision of where our new home would be located and what it would look like. When we found our home we could not have been happier. It fit every thing we wanted and more. We were looking for a home with land that was out of the city and in a more country setting. There is a problem when you move out of the city into the more rural areas and that is the internet. We all want high speed internet services. We want to know that if we need our internet service it will be there. Fortunately there is an internet company that feels the same way we do. We use our internet for everything from business to socializing. We also play games via the internet entertaining ourselves for hours. If we had bad service it would be very difficult for us to enjoy a movie or play a game with a continued connection. We knew if it was raining we would loose service. That was long ago and now our internet service is something we depend on because it is such a part of our daily lives.
